Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and LBV ehf., kennitala 670720-0980, Litlabæjarvör 17, 225 Garðabær, Iceland (“RevokeMail”, “we”, “us”). They cover your use of Recall24: the web app (app.revokemail.com), the Recall24 Gmail extension for Chrome, the Recall24 Outlook add-in and the website revokemail.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use Recall24

You must be at least 16 years old to use Recall24. If you use Recall24 on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account. You are responsible for what is sent from your account and for keeping your devices and accounts secure. Tell us at hello@revokemail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. What Recall24 does, and what it can’t do

• When you send an email with Recall24, the recipient can read it through a private link. For 24 hours you can recall access to it.

• When you recall an email, or its 24-hour window ends, Recall24 deletes its text and files and stops further access through Recall24.

• A recall can’t remove what a recipient has already read, copied, downloaded, forwarded or saved before the recall.

• Recall24 is not an archive. If you need to keep a record of what you sent, keep your own copy.

• Recall24 depends on services we don’t control, including Google, Microsoft and recipients’ email providers. We can’t guarantee that every email is delivered or that every recall happens in time.

4. Price

Recall24 is free. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Recall24 to:

• send spam, phishing or unsolicited bulk email;

• send malware or anything designed to harm devices or data;

• send content that is illegal, or that harasses, threatens or defrauds others;

• infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;

• try to get around Recall24’s security, access other people’s emails, or disrupt or overload the Service;

• copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

You own the emails and files you send with Recall24. You give us permission to store, process and deliver them only as needed to run the Service, and only for as long as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to send what you send.

7. Our rights

Recall24, its software, design and the RevokeMail and Recall24 names belong to us. These terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using the Service. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. When a business uses Recall24 for its staff, our Data Processing Agreement applies to the content its employees send.

9. Changes to the Service

We are constantly improving Recall24 and may add, change or remove features. We may also suspend the Service temporarily, for example for maintenance or security reasons. If we stop offering Recall24 altogether, we will tell signed-in users in advance where we reasonably can.

10. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or damage to reputation, or for what a recipient does with an email before it is recalled. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using Recall24 at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to privacy@revokemail.com. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it.

13. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell signed-in users before it takes effect. If you keep using Recall24 after that, the new terms apply.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Icelandic law, and disputes are handled by the courts of Iceland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
